CLIFFTOP TOURS: TOUR TWO

2: Westerside to Dowlaw
(Half-Day Tour: 7.5 miles overland)

The second stage of the trail proceeds via Westerside Dean to the cliffs of Lumsdaine where there are magnificent views, prehistoric hill forts and a smuggler's path to the beach below. The route then continues onto Dowlaw with more breathtaking coastal views and a stop-off overlooking the spectacular Dowlaw Dean with its wealth of wild flowers.

The trail ends at a point looking down over the dramatic ruins of Fast Castle, which is steeped in history and where seasonally there is a breeding colony of Grey Seals.
